Physics and Measurement Units

The basis of physics are measurement units. Without them, nothing makes sense. Imagine if someone told you “1 time unit”. You could not know if they are talking about 1 hour, 1 minute, 1 day, or 1 year. There is a vast difference between them, and that is why we need clear, standard, and easy to replicate definitions of measurement units.

Also, many times we need to convert between measurement units to count apples with apples. We do this by a method called chain link conversion. We’ll see an example of this and how to do it as well.

This animated infographic talks about physics and measurement units, and how to use conversion factors to convert between units.
