Over 100 different electronic circuit projects with just 30+ electronic parts
This exploration kit by Elenco is the real deal. You get more than what you pay for. This is the most repeated comment of current owners.
30 electronic parts may seem little, but these help your kid assemble over 100 different electronic circuit projects.
These projects are not just connections that your kid will make, but functional and working models of real life electronic circuits applications.
The cool thing about assembling these models is that your kid will get a sense of how electronic circuits work and connect to produce things that are useful in life.
And we are talking about more than 100 projects for less than $50 USD at the moment of this writing.

Working models of a photo sensor, a flashing light, an adjustable-volume siren and much more
These are just some of the working models your kid will assemble with this kit. And this is only the beginning.
This is the junior kit, for beginners, but it is fully compatible with its upgrades and the other Elenco snap circuit sets.
The adjustable-volume siren, the flash light, a photo sensor, an alarm, a flying saucer, and many others, are super fun experiments for kids.
All the pieces are labeled and created with graphics to make this not just a following-instructions activity, but a true learning experience for everyone.
Another important aspect of building functional models of real life electronics, is the fulfilment and joy of getting something done that works.
These models are the beginning of something bigger for the curious minds.
Clear, easy to understand illustrated instruction manual

This set would not be complete without the clear and easy to understand illustrated Snap Circuit Jr manual.
Each project comes with not just illustrations to assemble each piece and have a working model, but also, an explanation of what each one does and how they work.
Just so you know how good the instructions manual is, here it is so you can explore it in detail.
There is also a French version and a Spanish version if you want to check those out. The Snap Circuits JR manual explores the kit in detail and has useful information you can use.
This user’s manual is definitely a huge aid to assemble the circuits and ensure your kid will have fun while learning.
Learn by building fun circuits

This is a full hands-on learning kit. Your children will learn by building, doing, trying, failing, and trying again.
The fun part of this set is it comes with multi-level challenges that will add to the experience.
Kids enjoy moving from something easy and small to bigger and bigger challenges. The most important thing is that they learn each step of the way.
The satisfaction that comes with moving from something simple to more complex circuits, is amazing.
This is what builds that momentum and your kid will want to move on to more advanced sets.
At the same time, and I say this as an engineer, they are learning the fundamentals of what could be a very lucrative career in the future.
Designed for young engineers 8+
Simplicity is a complex thing. And trust me, creating a toy to help kids 8 years old learn circuits and electronics, is a very complex task.
But the good news is this Snap Circuits Jr. set achieves this in a very simplistic way.
Kids and parents love it not only because of its simplicity, but also because of how friendly, intuitive, and educational it is.
When a set helps your kid have fun while learning, and without noticing he or she is learning something, we are talking about a winning product.
This kit is just that.
And again, it is designed with kids in mind, but even adults will have fun with it.
Is this set safe for my kids?
This kit uses AA batteries (not included) and thus, it is perfectly safe for your kids.
The amount of current and voltage this set generates is no different than any other toy your kid already has, so there is no risk with it.
Even when it is an electronics circuit set, the models he or she will be working on, are fun and safe to play with.
Nonetheless, there are some moving parts, and just like with anything with moving parts, precaution and supervision is advised.
What comes inside the box?

- 30+ snap modules
- Base grid
- Instructions manual
- Over 100 projects to assemble
Any downsides?
When checking the comments from current owners, very few of them have reported missing or damaged parts.
While this is always disappointing, I continued digging and found that there are two ways to deal with this situation.
- You can contact Amazon’s customer support to get help. This is always a good idea as they are very supportive and helpful.
- Elenco has made clear that should you find yourself in this situation, don’t return the package. Instead, call or email them and they’ll take care of you.
In terms of comments from current owners, that is all they were reporting, but as you can see, there are some workarounds to deal with this.
On a personal note, I think you’ll soon discover that 100+ projects to assemble are not enough, and you’ll end up wanting to expand your set, so mark my words.
How to get it?
There are always plenty of options online, but my favorite option by far is Amazon. They back you up with great customer service and I see they also offer the lowest price in the market.
So if you are serious about getting something cool your kid can have fun with and learn at the same time, this Snap Circuit Jr. set by Elenco is the perfect choice.
